Other than it's a sure buy for me. It might even have more potential that Lair and Heavenly Sword.
I don't live in Europe. Lair is a sure buy, I'm on the fence about Folklore, for $30 i'm sure I would buy it. I thought I remember hearing something about PS3 first party games would be cheaper in Europe
I might end up buying Folklore for $60 anyway, demo was pretty good. It depends on other games also. There's too many games coming out I can only seriously buy like 5 or 6. So I'm gonna be doing a lot of renting.
But for me, there isn't one game. And too be honest I'm not sure which game will be my favorite because I haven't played them yet.
But the prime suspects are:
Lair
Uncharted
Heavenly Sword
Haze
This game looks very good but it's not getting the respect, I think once November comes along if Reviews start praising it, it could be a killer App sorta like Bioshock. Not too many people were talking about Bioshock being huge until it started getting reviews of 10/10.
The idea of Nectar is really unique and sounds fun to me. I would prefer to be a Mantel soldier over a rebel.

seems unfair that they get two count their review as 2 different ones. I mean it's both IGN. We should care about IGN US and let the Euro's care about IGN UK.

I think most games are average. If a game gets a 7 from me it's very good because most average games would get like 2/10 and 3/10.

XBOX 360 was more than doubling PS3 sales before the price drop. So I don't get the big surprise.
And now Mircosof cut it's price also.
Of course it's a win for XBOX 360. I think the question is how close can PS3 hang in this year.
I for one think GRAW 2 is the same or maybe even better on PS3. Now all they need to do is cut the development time and start releasing simultanous multi platform games that look better on PS3, and I think the momentum might start to change a little bit.

This isn't an AAA game like Bioshock but it's a good game. I played the demo and I was intrigued by the characters and mystic atmopshere, all top notch.
Gameplay wasn't jaw dropping but what slasher really is? It certainly wasn't bad either. This is a good game. Buy it, not because you like pressing buttons but because you like being enganged in an epic tale.
But that's my view. Whatever games Orange box has, Portal or Team Fortress, I have a lot of games higher on my list than those two.
Half-life 2 was a last gen game. This is just like a special edition package with extras or something.
at $59.99 how many games can you really afford? I can spend maybe like $600 - $700 on video games the rest of the year.
Lair, Heavenly Sword, FIFA 08 or Pro Evo 08 are already must buys for me. That's already $180. With choices like Rathcet & Clank Future, Assassins Creed, Uncharted it would be tough to fit in Orange Box.

Gameplay wasn't bad but it didn't give any insight on the story. It's gonna come down to whether story reels me in or not.
They probably aren't quite the calibur of hits that Halo 3 and Bioshock are but cheap prices make a difference. I don't see why XBOX 360 fanboys are b*tching. They don't b*tch because XBOX 360 is cheaper than PS3.
